Message Hi Guys,
I've recently arrived from Oz and may decide to buy a Z in the US, even though I still own my monster Z in Oz. A lot depends on how long I end up staying. However, I really need your advice and assistance due to my naivity about the US car market and Z workshops.

I've looked in the local 'papers, on-line sites and on e-bay, and just like in Oz most of these Zs are probably trouble. Wrong or poor maintenance, irregular servicing, crap oil, etc.

Even in Oz we've heard of a place called Z1motorsport, but I have no opinion on them either way as I have had no direct contact or dealings with them. A while ago I saw a silver convertible I believe owned by the owner of Z1 that was supposedly pulling 1200rhp or thereabouts. I've now seen what seems to be the same car for sale, but I believe the specs have changed, or it may just be a different car.

Either way, can anyone give me some info and advice about this car if they know if it or its history? I'm not even sure if this would be a fair price as I don't know what a good/great Z fetches in the US.

The car is described as:

93TT convertible Widebody: Silver with charcoal and silver int, 5spd with Jun flywheel and RPS clutch, Rebuilt Z1 tranny, Doolz intake, JWT sport 500 turbos, Z1 ecu upgrade, Z1 Onepiece DS, KYB AGX shocks, Eibach Springs, Stillen sway bars, Stillen front camber kit, 19" Axis wheels, Split flange Downpipes with custom exhaust.

The website is: [ http://www.z1motorsports.com/imageGallery/view_album.php?set_albumName=album196 ]

If you think posting a reply may offend anyone, you can e-mail me in confidence at vr300zx@yahoo.com.au

Like I said, I'm only after some help from my fellow Z'ers.

Thanks in advance!

CheerZ
Vincent
